Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishing
About the Olympic Peninsula:
Large numbers of steelhead return to the Olympic Peninsula every year, with many winter fish over twenty pounds. The Hoh, Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Queets rivers are where we direct most our efforts for these magnificent fish in the Winter. Swinging streamers with spey rods and nymphing with single hand rods are the techniques we use while targeting winter steelhead. We use the boat for transportation and we also nymph on the go between swinging runs to thoroughly cover the water that holds steelhead.
The breathtaking landscape of the Olympic Mountains and old growth timber which are home to large herds of elk and countless eagles, combined with the presence of trophy steelhead make for and unforgettable experience.
