Yakima River Fly Fishing

About the Yakima River:

The Yakima River begins in the Cascade Range and flows into Eastern Washington. The rolling hills and pristine water makes for beautiful scenery, as well as superb fishing. The river contains good numbers of rainbow and cutthroat trout, averaging between 10″-16″ and can be as large as 24″. The exquisite landscape, prolific hatches, abundance of fish, and year-round fishing puts the Yakima River on the map as Washington’s best catch and release trout fishing location.

Washington Fly Fishing Testimonials

September 4, 2018

Thank you for the pictures. Aaron got some good shots. I would also like to thank you for the lunches you furnished for the floats. They were excellent.

As for the fishing with Aaron, I had a great time, and was able to land my first ever Steelhead, plus a couple more. Aaron is many things on a float. At first he is a Teacher, explaining how we are targeting the fish, and the proper rod technique. After a Steelhead is hooked, he switches to being a Coach, giving advice how to work the fish, bring it to the net, and proper handling so the fish can be released without harm. Last, he is a great photographer, taking lots of fantastic pictures.

After the photos, the fish is released, there are handshakes, fist bumps, and lots and lots of laughter. What a great time!

Again, my thanks to you for coordinating the trip, and of course Aaron for all his efforts. I’m looking forward to fishing with Aaron in the future.
