Klickitat River Summer Steelhead

About the Klickitat River:

The wild summer run steelhead of the Klickitat are some of the biggest in the state. These magnificent fish can reach upwards of twenty pounds. Swinging wet flies and dead drifting nymphs are the most effective techniques while targeting Klickitat steelhead. We will also have the option of catching chinook salmon while targeting steelhead. These king salmon are in the 15-25lb range with some pushing 40lbs.

The Klickitat River begins on the glacier capped peaks of Mount Adams and flows south through Central Washington into the Columbia River. The beautiful landscape includes steep canyons, old forests, and abundant wildlife. A day fly fishing on the Klickitat River is truly unforgettable.
