Aaron inherited his first fly rod at age nine and never looked back. At age 18, Aaron’s first guide job took him to Alaska, where he spent two summers with Bristol Bay Lodge. He then went on to guide at Reel Wilderness Adventures in Alaska’s Wood Tikchik State Park for 6 years, 4 of those seasons as the head guide. Aaron has fished across the globe, from BC to Florida to New Zealand and other places in between. It was six months in NZ, hunting kiwi browns, that taught him about precision, persistence, and patience; but most of all he realized he wanted to devote the rest of his life to fly fishing. Upon returning home to Washington in 2007, Aaron started his guide service, Angler’s Obsession. Aaron now focuses on Olympic Peninsula Steelhead January through mid-April; Tarpon, Bonefish, and other flats species in South Florida mid-April through July; summer steelhead and fall chinook on the Klickitat August through October; and finishes the year fishing the Mississippi Delta for giant redfish November and December.
